your autumn style reset mini-guide

five simple ways to step into the season with ease and with clarity

  1. Revisit your signature piece:

What item always makes you feel great? This can be anything that makes you feel most ‘you’. Pick your favourite dress, shoes, scarf, jacket, or whatever you are drawn to.

  • Question: Does it still reflect the woman you are becoming?

  • If it is lighter weight, can it be layered or restyled for autumn?

  • Do you have something similar you could also wear more?

2. Refresh your personal colour story:

Instead of buying something new, can you go through your existing wardrobe and look at things in a new light.

  • Why not pair a favourite summer piece (pale silk blouse) with something from your winter collection (grey flannel trousers)?

  • Do you have a jewel toned accessory you could introduce to instantly uplift your look? A big handbag, adding a belt to a jacket, or finding a vibrant lipstick or nail varnish, all count

3. Swap some textures, not your entire outfit:

Mix and match your choices as you transition into the next season.

  • Think about using layering so you can still wear lighter weight items but with a warmer base layer, or a fine knit on top

  • Add colour and texture interest by using contrasting fabrics in the same outfit. Remember there are no rules

4. Define the feeling you want to adopt this autumn:

Dressing in the coming season is not just about keeping warm as the weather gets cooler, it is all about energy. Ask yourself:

  • Do I want to feel more grounded?

  • Do I want to be more visible?

  • Do I want to be more comfortable?

Choose one concept and let it guide your choice for your next outfit. There is no right or wrong so have fun and experiment

5. Create an Autumn Ritual:

Your style and image choices are only one part of your life. Use the transition into autumn to build a seasonal ritual that keeps you connected, grounded, and engaged.

  • Arrange a few autumn blooms in your bedroom

  • Drink a glass of water with a slice of lemon as soon as you rise

  • Play some of your favourite upbeat music as you get ready to help to create a positive mood for the day ahead

  • Set an intention for how you want to show up for your day

Final thoughts:

Style is seasonal, but identity is not only unique, it is timeless.

Taking time to be intentional about your look as we transition from summer into autumn, isn’t about slavishly following trends. It is about honouring who you are and being creative as you move towards your next chapter.
